We will keep the story short!

It all started when we got our first full on handful of a dog! She tested our paitence daily, had issues with every dog on a walk and more. It soon made us to become obsessed by dog training and behaviour.

We saw the results we wanted after a huge amount of training but we also saw the extreme hard work that goes into it. We also learnt that not all dogs are made equal. They all have different personalities and behaviours and it's not always your fault your dog is they way they are.

When training our reactive dog we saw the ignorance of other dog owners, assuming your dog is friendly, or your must be  bad owner etc, these people have never had a troubled dog so they are non the wiser. Soon we realised that training methods that work for some will not even touch the sides of some dogs. We got agitated when we saw other owners with trainers desperately chucking treats in the dogs face, in the grass and trying to trick them with a bit of dry kibble..

We soon went on to get qualified as the sheer amount on knowledge we consumed made us obsessed with getting our dog better (even though dog training is a largely unregulated industry). The qualifications help but real hands on experience is what makes the difference.

We pride ourselves on being a total open book and we do not  subject ourselves to one style of training such as being a totally positive trainer and never dream of even saying "No" to a dog. We use what works with your dog, and that's when results happen, its about being balanced.

 

It's important you remember many trainers tend to focus on one style training, we do not. We are also big advocates of reminding owners you may not have the dog you dreamt of, you've got the dog you've got and you must learn to live with it, they may never be 100% perfect but you can always manage them the best you can through good training.
